Week #1 Reflection
The first week of our tech class was mostly an overview of the course with some great tips on privacy and anonymity. One of the main ways was through the use of bitmojiās or other animated versions of ourselves. I quite enjoyed the process of making a new bitmoji as it has been a few years since it has been updated. Having a digital avatar/presence for your students hasnāt been something I’ve thought about before this course, but I can clearly see the reasons why it’s a good idea. It has been fun to explore the different ways my bitmoji can interact with students in the future.
The other cool thing we learned about was the ābetterā twitter (aka X). This site is called Bluesky meant for professionals. Although I haven’t made an account, I did explore the site a little and I really like the layout, especially how you’re not bombarded with ads and being pushed random posts from a little orange man down south.
For a first class it felt full of information about the course as well as giving us lots of resources off the bat which I personally love.
