Weekly Reflection #2

Week two focused on AI and we also got a look at a tool called padlet.

Ai

I really appreciated that we are discussing AI in schools and how to use it responsibly. I, like most of my class, are very worried about what AI is and will do in the future, but I also know it’s not going away and we need to learn how to use it so we can teach our students how to use it properly.  With all the talk about how bad it is I feel like its so important to learn the ethical ways of using AI so that we can teach our students how to use it, instead of them learning whatever they see online. 

Padlet

I have used padlet before but I had never thought about using it for my elementary students. It seems like such a fantastic idea  since it’s all anonymous and students don’t have to feel shy about their responses. I used it in a Japanese class last year where we posted our project for everyone to see, not seeing how useful it could be in the future. I don’t know how much technology i will have in my class room but i like that i have this tool in my tool box
